If you have piglets, Orange Spanvall is the perfect bedding choice for normal and skinny pig bedding. Orange Spanvall is the best bedding for pigs, much better than normal pig shavings and mini pig beds, as it is a fine sawdust, which stays in the sty when the piglets rummage through it.

Orange Spanvall is manufactured from pure sawdust, which is cleaned and heat-treated. Its structure is fine and soft and by applying fine sawdust, you achieve a higher absorbency capacity, than when using other materials for sale as bedding e.g. straw, cedar or pine. The high absorbency of fine sawdust provides a dry and warm bed with fewer bacteria and fungi.

The sawdust fixes ammonia and moisture and is cost-effective. Fine Spanvall sawdust is of the highest quality and uniform structure. The sawdust is free from varnish, glue and foreign substances and is also dust-free.

Application of Orange Spanvall

ORANGE Spanvall is widely used in the transport of livestock.

The sawdust stays in place and does not ”blow about” as shavings of a coarser structure are prone to do, which makes the sawdust well-suited as bedding for livestock transports.

RED Spanvall

About

Rød Spanvall is used particularly for the slightly older pigs – in the sties as well as in open housing, as the shavings are approved for use with SPF livestock. RØD spanvall is manufactured from soft, heat-treated shavings. The quality is high and uniform. The shavings are free from varnish, glue and foreign substances and are also dust-free. The moisture content of the shavings is between 8 and 15 percent, which provides for a dry and warm bed with fewer bacteria than e.g. straw, as the absorbency of shavings is much greater. A dry environment means fewer bacteria and fungi. The shavings are pressed into plastic-covered bales and approved for use with SPF livestock.

Spanvall Wood Flour is used particularly for piglets in the farrowing stable. A base of wood dust for piglets protects against lesions on knees and against umbilical hernia.

Spanvall Wood Flour is manufactured from soft, heat-treated shavings. The quality is high and uniform. The shavings are free from varnish, glue and foreign substances and are also dust-free. The moisture content of the shavings is between 8 and 15 percent, which provides for a dry and warm bed with fewer bacteria than e.g. straw, as the absorbency of shavings is much greater. A dry environment means fewer bacteria and fungi.
